Concerts and Evensongs

Please join us for the following Concerts and Evensongs at St. David’s:

5th Annual Valentine’s “Heart-to-Heart” Gala

Saturday, February 13, in Sumners Hall

A glittering performance with David Stevens and the Morris Nelms Quartet, featuring Alex Coke, performing some of the greatest love songs ever written. Songs will include “I Got It Bad and That Ain’t Good,” “Embraceable You,” and many other sweet tunes for the romantic. All proceeds benefit the Freshwater Well projects of Warm Heart International.

2 p.m. matinee – 45 minute concert with complimentary coffee, tea, and cookies.  Tickets are $25.
7 p.m. full show – includes a feast of delectable desserts, complimentary champagne, and a live auction.  Tickets are $35 in advance/$40 at the door.

Lenten Concerts at Noon

Thursdays in the Historic Church

An opportunity for a midday respite, we invite you to a lunchtime series of inspiring music, reflective hymnody, and food for the soul.  With special guests:

Feb. 25:  The University of Texas Trombone Choir (in conjunction with the Consortium of Endowed Episcopal Parishes)

Mar. 25:  Music for Trumpet and Organ: Timothy Shaffer, trumpet and Austin Haller, organ

Each concert is followed by lunch at 12:30 p.m. at Café Divine in Sumners Hall ($8).  Vegetarian entrees are also available.

All Concerts and Evensongs are free (unless otherwise noted) and open to the public.  Complimentary parking is available in the St. David’s garage at 8th and Trinity Streets.
