Our Regularly Scheduled Programming

Christian Formation Classes

Sundays, 10:10-11:10 a.m., Youth Rooms
During Sunday mornings, we use a program called Journey to Adulthood.  You start with Rite 13 (6th and 7th grade years), in which there is a really cool liturgy that acknowledges the gift of womanhood and manhood.  Then, in Journey to Adulthood (8th and 9th grade years), you explore issues of self, sexuality, society, and spirituality.  At the end of your 9th grade year, you make a holy pilgrimage to a place of your class’s choosing.  Then, in Young Adults in Church (10th-12th grade years), you are encouraged to take on adult responsibilities in all aspects of St. David’s parish life.

JEYC/EYC

Sundays, 5-7 p.m., Youth Rooms
JEYC (Junior High Episcopal Youth Community) is for those of you in 7th and 8th grade.  The 6th graders join JEYC after Christmas break.  EYC is for all of you senior high folk (9th-12th grade).  Sunday nights are all about being with each other… playing, worshiping, praying, eating, singing.  Although our schedule often gets crazy with special events, we’re going to try to stick to the schedule
• 1st Sunday of the month is Fantabulous Fun Night (big, wild games stuff);
• 2nd Sunday is Soul Train Night (discuss the Bible, other religions);
• 3rd Sunday is Tough Issues Night (talk about things like alcohol, depression, sexuality);
• 4th Sunday is Hooooray God Night (we do all kinds of cool worship like walking the labyrinth and liturgical dance);
• 5th Sunday is Service Night (like Trinity Streets).  Every night, we eat dinner together and play games.
