Restored Column Capitals, Credence Table, and Historic Paint

10Feb

The plaster column capitals in the Historic Church were recently returned to the shape they would have had in the 1880s to match the restored pointed arches. The columns and pilasters will get decorative painting next. Visit the display in St. David's lobby to see the paint samples and the story of how the colors were discovered.

The credence table had pulled away from the Historic Church wall, and the best way to fix it was to disassemble it and hire a specialist to restore and reinstall it. This is underway now.
