Phillip Owen
Phillip regularly attends 8:30 a.m. meditation with Gustavo Hernandez, the 9 a.m. service, Wisdom Ways, and the “Rule of Benedict” reading group through The Abbey. He has participated in Men’s Retreat, Men’s Group, Parish Choir, Laundry Love, and the Bethell musicians with Mark Wischkaemper. Phillip’s profession is as a college instructor at Texas State University, teaching sound design in the theatre department. He also freelances regionally as a theatrical sound designer. Within the community, he is involved with Leadership Austin, Fusebox Festival, and Yale Day of Service. Phillip joined the vestry in 2021.
