Children & Youth

growing alongside children and youth in faith

We are called to support families’ formation, worship, and daily lives, and to nurture children’s growing faith through wonder, learning, prayer, and play.

Children's and Family Ministry

In our Children's and Family Ministry, we serve children from birth through 5th grade and those who support them. We realize how much we need community and offer classes and programs to foster connections.

Our children drive our spiritual lives more than we realize. When they are born, we seek to baptize them. As they grow, we notice that they need spiritual care, and that we do also, if we intend to grow them well. The work we do as parents can be lonely and isolated, without the care and love of community. The church serves as an important partner in spiritual education and good parent care.

To this end, we offer four different children’s formation classes for children, ages 3-12. We also have nursery care during church services on Sunday mornings and during adult formation classes Wednesday nights. This is meant to allow you time to form yourselves while we form your children. We also have a children’s choir, fun offerings during parish-wide events, Brick Bible in the summer, and Parent’s Night Out a few times a year.

This year, we will be adding programming specifically for parents, to connect you with people in your same space of care and growth for support. Please reach out to Fr. Kristin if you are interested in formation and fellowship, or have ideas about what you might need or want in the formational space. We look forward to being in community with you.

Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry serves students in grades 6-12. Being a teen is tough during the best of times (an argument could be made that these are not the best of times!), so we love to walk alongside and support youts as they move towards adulthood. We meet on site twice weekly during the school year as a community to have fun together and learn more about God. On Wednesday nights we gather for dinner, games, a devotional, and close off the night with compline. On Sunday mornings, we gather to encounter Scripture in new and exciting ways, bringing all our questions, ideas, and ponderings about who God is and where we belong in the world.
