Bethell Parent Group Is Off To A Great Start

05May
Bethell Parent Group

10-11 a.m., Bethell Hall
Meeting starts at 10:10 a.m.

Bethell Parent Group is off to a lovely start with parents of all ages stopping in for fellowship. We gather at 10 a.m. but start the discussion at 10:10 a.m. after checking kids into child care, Youth, and Children's Ministry programs. So far, the group has discussed cellphones and technology and how to raise confident, independent children. In our last meeting, we shared and discussed an article from The Atlantic by Russell Shaw, Lighthouse Parents Have More Confident Kids. The group welcomes anyone who would like to share a fun story about their kid or bounce ideas around regarding a parenting dilemma.

Next week, for Mother's Day, we are excited to host two amazing mothers: guest speakers Sherry Crickmer, JC's mom, and Cecile Sanders, Matt's mom. As we all know, grandmothers have amazing knowledge and insight on child rearing, and these two ladies are not short on the amazing gifts they provide to their families. We hope you will grab a coffee and a muffin from Sumners Hall and stop by Bethell Hall while your children attend Sunday classes.

The following week, May 18, we will tackle the delicate subject of how and when to explain difficult information to your children.
