Bethell Parent Group Fall 2025 Schedule

Meets Most Sundays
10-11 a.m., Bethell Hall

The Bethell Parent Group invites new members to share weekly fellowship and discuss the experience of parenting. No registration required. Topic discussion will start at 10:10 a.m. to allow everyone time to drop off kids in Sunday formation and grab a cup of coffee. 

Welcome back to Bethell Hall! Our first discussion topic will be on family life, including chores, schedules, and the mechanics of living as a team.

Sept. 14

Discuss extracurriculars, hobbies, and exercise. Everybody needs me time, self-care, and to balance the precarious business of calendar living.

Sept. 28 

Licensed Professional Counselor Michelle DeMarco, counselor at Cowan Elementary School, will give a talk titled "The Power of Love," examining the three parts of love that build healthy relationships.

Oct. 5

We will have a conversation about boundaries, improving communication, sibling rivalry, and bully-proofing.

Our associate rector, the Rev. Hope Tinsley Benko, will visit the Bethell Parent Group.

Oct. 26

There is no meeting on Harvest Sunday so that all may attend our 10:30 a.m. all-parish worship followed by a parish meal.

Nov. 2

We will cover financial planning and developing a family mission statement.

Nov. 9

Discuss navigating extended family and "Keeping up with the Joneses." We will talk about holding your own in the world of comparisons.

Our topic will be digital life, including safely navigating apps, games, and social media.

Gather in Sumners Hall at 10 a.m. for St. David's annual Advent Wreath Making.

Our first meeting in Advent will be on tolerances and overburden. In short, how much are you willing to put up with? 
At 12:30 p.m., the group is invited to join Lunch for all Fellowship Groups.
