Feb. 19: Prayer Vigil in Response to ICE Detentions

Prayer Vigil in Response to ICE Detentions at JJ Pickle Building

Wednesday, Feb. 19
6:30 p.m., Surface Lot

Parishioners are invited to gather for a candlelight prayer service because of the recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detentions at JJ Pickle Federal Building. We will invite downtown church congregations to join the service.

We will pray for our neighbors held in detention, those affected by recent ICE raids, and for federal workers enforcing ICE operations to treat immigrants humanely and mercifully, with the understanding that this work takes a painful personal toll on those who do this work. We believe the prayer vigil will serve as both an acknowledgment of what is happening in our neighborhood and provide a beacon of hope and mercy for immigrants, refugees, and all impacted by the detentions occurring at the JJ Pickle Building.

This service will replace our usual 5:15 p.m. Wednesday Evening Prayer. ·
