St. David’s will host interfaith groups from across Central Texas for a special "85 to Stay Alive" mock cell exhibit and prayer service to bear public witness to the extreme, dangerous temperatures inside may of Texas’ prisons without air conditioning.

Created by Texas Prison Community Advocates (TPCA), the interactive, heated mock cell exhibit allows visitors to experience the sweltering conditions—often exceeding 115°F—that incarcerated individuals face in facilities without air conditioning. This event serves as a call to action for people of faith to join advocacy efforts ensuring all Texas prisons are humanely climate-controlled.
