Title Changes in the Music Department

We have gifted people leading our music department: Eric Mellenbruch and Mark Wischkaemper. Eric brings unmatched skill, experience, and attention to his work as Organist and Choirmaster, which he will continue. Previously, Mark’s title was Director of Music, Bethell Hall. Since we reopened after the pandemic and the completion of the Historic Church renovation, we are not offering worship in Bethell Hall regularly on Sunday mornings.

I have invited Mark to accept the role of Director of Music at St. David’s. Mark recently completed a master’s degree in choral conducting from Texas State University. It has been inspiring to see the impact this preparation has had on our already outstanding music ministry. He will be responsible for the overall operations and direction of Music Ministry at St. David’s.

While there will be little noticeable impact on how the congregation experiences Sunday morning worship at 9 and 11:15, these changes reflect the current reality of our worship ministry and position the team for creative leadership in the future.

Please thank these remarkable men for their leadership and congratulate Mark on his new responsibilities.
