Ministry of the Month: Greeters
Join the greeter team to open the doors of St. David’s to friends old and new! Greeters are the first smiling faces parishioners and visitors meet at our church doors. This is an easy way to give back to our church. Minimal time with maximum joy.
Meeting times and time commitment
Volunteers greet once a month at either the 9:00 a.m. or 11:15 a.m. services at the front doors to welcome folks into the church. Read testimonials from two greeters to learn more.
Greeter Testimonials
Diane Mazuca
I am involved with multiple ministries at St. David’s, and serving as a greeter has truly been a highlight for me. Welcoming newcomers and established parishioners to our beautiful space is a wonderful experience. Serving as a greeter allows me to enjoy seeing the excitement of the youngsters coming to church and getting to connect more deeply with fellow parishioners. For me, it has been a unique and rewarding experience.
As I complete my greeting duties, I walk into our sanctuary with a smile on my face and joy in my heart knowing that I have had the opportunity to say hello to and welcome so many gathered for worship. It is such an uplifting moment and why I treasure being a St. David’s Greeter. I heartily encourage people to consider volunteering for this ministry. It is not a heavy lift, and it brings such pleasure.

I like being a part of our St. David’s inclusive congregation. Opening the door on Sunday mornings gives me the opportunity to participate in greeting everyone to that Sunday’s service. Whether a regular attendee or a newcomer, it’s important that everyone who comes to our church feels welcome. It’s a joy to serve as a greeter for St. David’s. I invite anyone who is interested to join the Greeter Team!
