I’d like to think I volunteer for the Texas Ramp Project ramp builds for unselfish reasons, but that would be untrue. Selfish reason number one: the fun and wonderful men and women I work alongside. I get to hang out and build stuff with some of St. David’s coolest folks. Selfish reason number two: power tools! The little boy in me loves using all the tools it takes to build a ramp. Selfish reason three: the satisfaction of solving problems and overcoming obstacles to see a project through to completion, usually in one long session. The unselfish part? Making someone’s daily life a little easier. It never gets old.
