I have participated in the Men’s Retreat for the past two years and have enjoyed both adventures immensely. Those retreats were at Mo Ranch, in Lockhart, TX, which provides hiking trails, beautiful prayerful spaces, and my personal favorite, the cold but refreshing Guadalupe River.
It is a wonderful opportunity to take a breath in a world that is constantly on the move. Whether it is through contemplative prayer, sharing meals, or making a joyful noise under the Texas moon by the fire, this retreat offers something for everyone.
It is also a great opportunity to get to know people of all ages that attend St. David’s and discover that there is more to each of us than just seeing each other on Sunday morning. I would recommend this weekend to anyone, even if it is just to watch the foolishly brave take on the old water slide down by the river.
