On Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, our pets joined us for dinner in Sumners Hall before following Associate Rector the Rev. Hope Tinsley Benko downstairs to the Playground for a Blessing of the Pets service.
Dogs, cats (via phone photos), and even a guinea pig named Godzilla, gathered for song and prayer in a St. Francis Day celebration of the love pets bring to our lives. St. Francis medals and cards with blessings were offered along with an invitation to ask Mother Hope for a blessing for more shy pets who could not attend.
