Day of Pentecost 2025

On Sunday, June 8, the parish gathered for the Day of Pentecost.  All were invited to wear red, including Father Chuck, who wore red sneakers! Campers from Vacation Bible School offered music they learned from Mark Wischkaemper, director of Music, while the congregation cheered them on. Acolytes were very careful not to snag our livestream cameras with flowing ribbons in the procession. The day included baptism renewal, and at 9 a.m. the baptism of our newest member, Christopher Hornung.

At 10 a.m. Dr. Mona West gave a lecture on Pentecost: The Original DEI Program, in Crail C. Listen to the lecture on our Adult Christian Formation podcast. Also at 10 a.m., the summer youth and children schedule began with Brick Bible and our youth table meeting in Sumners Hall.

On the surface lot, St. David's parishioners joined our neighbors at Central Presbyterian for a downtown community blood drive, which was the culmination of our 2025 Month of Service.
