It is not too late to register for the Youth Advocacy Summit. Youth, ages 16-20, from across Texas are invited to this three-day summit at St. David's over President's Day weekend.
Students will have civics and advocacy training with Mark Strama and staff from the Annette Strauss Institute at UT Austin. They will meet Travis County Commissioner Ann Howard; Director of Public Policy and Government Affairs John Howard, Dell Technologies; Regional Director for Senator Ted Cruz Brandon Simon; Austin City Council Member Zo Qadri; and AISD Board President Arati Singh.

SUMMIT SCHEDULE
- Saturday, Feb. 15
- 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.: Trust-building, practice staying centered in emotional times.
- Sunday, Feb. 16
- 11 a.m.-4 p.m.: Attendees will be given a legislative primer and choose bills to discuss that may be going to committee in the Texas legislature.
- Monday, Feb. 17
- 10 a.m.-noon: Finalize bill recommendations and visit the Texas State Capitol to deliver recommendations to Congressional committee members.
