Parish Meeting to Discuss Cold Weather Shelter

All are invited to a special meeting to discuss providing emergency cold weather shelter in 2024. The Rev. Chuck Treadwell and our community engagement staff and committee members will host the meeting.
St. David’s has been asked to serve as a shelter for families as part of the City of Austin’s Cold Weather Shelter Program.
Although we’ve provided cold weather shelter in the past, serving as an emergency shelter in 2024 will likely require some additional resources. As a church, we need to discuss whether we have the capacity to provide emergency shelter or if it would be better to help in other ways.
