
St. David’s Episcopal Day School board voted unanimously to hire Kate Terrell as the Head of School. Kate began her teaching career in 2007 and joined the day school in January 2019. Kate has served as interim director since July 1, 2022, and will transition to Head of School on Aug. 1
The day school first opened its doors in 1997 as a Mother's Day Out program and has since grown to be accredited by the highly regarded National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The day school is accredited through Texas Rising Star and is a member of the National Association of Episcopal Schools. The day school's programs are set within the life, worship, and faith of the Christian church as expressed in the Episcopal tradition and practiced at St. David’s Episcopal Church.
The day school is accepting applications for students 18 months-PreK4, with a curriculum based on the theory of learning through play to increase cognitive development. Open August-May, with a summer camp during the months of June and July. School hours are 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with an optional extended day program from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
