Next-to-New Volunteer Story: Robin Gurka

There must be some heavenly guidance for this place, perhaps because of its goals of helping others in our community and supporting a wonderful church. Amazing things happen here every day - for the staff, volunteers, consigners, estates, and shoppers.

The staff and volunteers have made it a warm and inviting space with their support and positive direction, filling the atmosphere with kindness, friendliness, and support. As a seasoned volunteer of 21 years, I can stand back and observe the goodness of the Next-to-New shop and always look forward to my time spent here. Because of the people who make each day a positive experience, I can be amazed at the continuing growth of our contributions to St. David’s and the Austin community.
