"Tell Out My Soul" – Annual Giving 2027
We are beginning the discernment process of our financial commitment to St. David’s. It started last Sunday, Sept. 20, and culminates on Harvest Sunday, Oct. 18.
Our Search Committee continues their work to call a new rector to St. David’s, and we want to ensure a solid financial foundation for ministry when that new person arrives. Our goal for 2027 is to raise $1.7M through annual stewardship gifts. This is the amount required to fund all our wonderful ministries at St. David’s. We can reach this goal together as a congregation. We’re asking everyone to prayerfully consider what they can give next year and submit a pledge commitment by Harvest Sunday.
Starting Sunday, Sept. 27, and over the next three weeks, there will be several activities focused on our Annual Giving Campaign:
- We will share the message during worship in the liturgy and in the sermons from clergy. Also, a few parishioners have volunteered to “Tell Out Their Souls” by sharing their stories at each worship service during announcement time. You’ll hear how St. David’s has impacted their lives and why they love being part of this parish.
- Everyone will have an opportunity to tell their stories and share them with the congregation on cards that will be displayed in Sumners Hall. Share about “the Blessings of St. David’s in My Life” by writing your message on a card and displaying it on the Sumners Hall windows for others to read.
- We will have an Adult Formation series in Crail C titled “Stewardship for Sweaty People” in which the Rev. Preston Yancy will lead discussions about all aspects of stewardship.
