Search Committee Members Announced
At our Annual Meeting on Jan. 25, 2026, I announced the members of our Search Committee and provided an update on their work. The committee completed their training, elected a chair, and have been working with the diocese completing the preparatory work to begin screening candidates.
In her service as Chair, JC Sanders will provide updates to the congregation.
One thing I want to emphasize up front – all members of the Search Committee have signed diocesan confidentiality agreements and cannot discuss any details of the search if asked. They can respond to process question, just not specifics. I know we have feelings of uncertainty which leads to curiosity and the need “to know,” yet please honor their required confidentiality.
We will have a special “Commissioning of the Search Committee” liturgy on Sunday, March 1, during the 11:15 a.m. service. I hope you will consider attending the 11:15 service that Sunday as we pray for and, as a congregation, commission our Search Committee to call our 15th rector.
Serving on the Search Committee is highly rewarding yet a serious time commitment. Please join me in sharing your appreciation to our committee members for their stewardship of time and talents.
New Vestry Members Elected
I am also pleased to share, also at our Annual Meeting, four new vestry members were elected: Laura Hernandez-Ehrisman, Diane Mazuca, John Orton, and Derek Pang. Laura was elected to a full 3-year term, after serving a partial year unexpired term.
Join me in thanking our new vestry members for a 3-year service commitment as they give of their time and talents to lead St. David’s during this both exciting and challenging time in our history.

The vestry will attend Vestry Retreat Feb. 20-22. We are looking forward to the time to welcome our new members, identify and prioritize our body of work for 2026, reconnect, and nourish our own spiritual growth to support our work in the year ahead. We will update the congregation on the outcomes of our retreat in the newsletter.
Peace,
John Crow
Senior Warden
