Last week, Senior Warden John Crow invited the parish to consider serving on the Search Committee for our next rector.
Dear members of St. David’s,
Applications are now being accepted for the Search Committee through Dec. 5.
The Search Committee plays a vital role in the life of our parish and our storied history by selecting St. David’s next rector. Grounded in prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Search Committee members will review candidate profiles, meet with candidates, carry out the administrative responsibilities of the search, and finally, recommend to the Vestry the individual who will be called as our next rector.
The Search Committee will consist of 12 members appointed by the Vestry: four selected by the Vestry and eight selected through this application process.
Each Search Committee member represents the entire congregation, so the Vestry desires a committee which mirrors the congregation in diversity of thought, professions, ministries, and life experiences. Please consider the following expectations and qualifications in your discernment:
- Confirmed member of The Episcopal Church.
- Active pledging member of St. David’s who regularly attends Sunday worship and participates in parish ministries.
- Can manage work/life commitments so the committee work is a top priority for the duration of the search (approximately 6-12+ months).
- Available to attend mandatory, in-person training on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026 (Noon-4 p.m.).
