Juneteenth Recognition in Worship, Breakfast, and Formation

On Sunday, June 22, we recognized Juneteenth in worship through music and prayer. Learn more about the music that was offered in our Music Blog.

We learned about the day with a special breakfast coordinated by our Racial Justice Committee and in Crail C, with biscuits and gravy, red velvet pancakes, and hibiscus tea provided by the Refugee Collective.  We watched and discussed the PBS documentary, "Juneteenth: The Long Road To Freedom" as part of our Faith and Film summer series in Crail C.

This Sunday's breakfast also included a demonstration for parishioners of all ages to try a miniature pipe organ prepared by the Organ Committee. On Wednesday, June 25, all are invited to build the miniature organ kit in the choir room.
