"Anuja," a 2025 Oscar-nominated live-action film that tells the story of a nine-year-old girl living in Delhi, India, with her older sister. The two are orphaned and work in a garment factory to make ends meet. A local school teacher urges the intelligent, mathematically brilliant Anuja to take an upcoming entrance exam, allowing her to earn a full scholarship to a boarding school, where she can receive a proper education. Her boss, however, wants to keep Anuja working for him. We will view this short film in its entirety and identify themes that intersect with a life of faith.
