Embodied Spirituality: Experiencing God in the World through our Five Senses

Thursdays, Oct. 23-Dec. 4
10-11:30 a.m., Room 210

Led by Seminary of the Southwest student, Ryan DiVincenzo, this community formation experience is a six-session offering that explores the theme of how we experience God in our own lives through the lens of each of our five senses, with one session devoted to each sense.

The first session will be an introduction to the concepts of contemplative listening and group spiritual direction. The group will be guided in contemplative exercises related to our sense perceptions and will also engage in group spiritual direction to explore these topics by practicing deep listening with each other and asking open-ended questions. The practices will be presented in a manner accessible to participants from diverse spiritual backgrounds, with an emphasis on reflection and universal themes.

St. David's offers a public lunch on the first three Thursdays of the month (11:30-1 p.m.) for those that would like to stay for lunch.
