Faith and Film: Juneteenth: The Long Road to Freedom

Sunday, June 22
10 a.m. Crail C

On this Sunday, we will recognize Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, in worship at 9 and 11:15 a.m. and with a special breakfast (8:30-11:30 a.m.) in Sumners Hall.

At 10 a.m., all are invited to Crail C to watch "Juneteenth: The Long Road to Freedom." This PBS documentary examines the history of Juneteenth, the current social climate, and the hope that this holiday inspires.

Faith and Film is a summer adult Christian formation series featuring short films that have either been nominated for or won an Oscar. This is an on-site offering for small-group discussions.
