Scriptural Foundations: The wisdom books

St. David’s Scriptural Foundations is a 2-year certificate program that provides an in-depth exploration of the Old and New Testaments, considering their historical contexts, literary characteristics, and relevance for today. Dr. Stephen Bishop, associate professor of Old Testament at Seminary of the Southwest, will teach this course, which will focus on books of the Old Testament that are often called the Wisdom Writings, or Writings. These books include Psalms, Proverbs, Job, and Ecclesiastes.
Registration is required.
This aids faculty with course preparations,
weekly reading assignments, and attendance tracking for certification.
