13Aug Environmental and Climate Justice Sunday, Sept. 710 a.m., Crail C As part of our lecture series on creation care, Professor Kelly Haragan, director of the Environmental Clinic at UT Law School, will explore the concept of environmental injustice and how it impacts communities in Texas. She will highlight real-world examples from the UT Law Environmental Clinic, where second- and third-year law students collaborate with low-income communities to reduce pollution exposure, secure access to clean drinking water, and address the impacts of climate change. About Kelly Haragan Kelly Haragan is a clinical professor, director of the Environmental Clinic, and co-director of the clinical program. Since joining in 2008, Professor Haragan has worked with Texas communities to address the adverse impacts of pollution and climate change. Previously, she worked with nongovernmental organizations, including Public Citizen and the Environmental Integrity Project, and the environmental law firm Henry, Lowerre, Johnson, Hess & Frederick. She has received the State Bar of Texas Poverty Law Section’s Impact Award and the Texas Low Income Housing Information Service’s Houser Award.
