Paint Progress in Historic Church

04Apr

In the photo titled “Paint Progress,” light again fills the Historic Church as the stained-glass windows are partially uncovered or re-installed. Exterior and interior painting is mostly complete, with the new rose-colored ceiling paint, painted and glazed walls with wainscot, east aisle columns, and trim all reproducing St. David’s historic colors from the late 1880’s. The faux pink granite chancel columns, decorative architrave paint above the restored gothic chancel arches, and chancel walls are in progress. Next: installation of the new oak hardwood finished floor.
