It's time for our very first fundraiser for Youth Service Trips 2026: Glory Ridge!
A little bit about Glory Ridge: St. David's was blessed to receive an invitation from our former youth director, Jenny Campbell, to join her ministry in visiting Glory Ridge, a campsite in the Blue Ridge Mountains. After some careful discernment, we accepted this invitation for the summer of 2025 and took five youth and three adults for a week of service work to our neighbors there after a quick and successful fundraising push. We were welcomed with loving community by Jenny's youth and her leadership team, and we were deeply formed by our time together. We came back fired up for God and determined to return to see our sister church and continue the work we did together, namely construction work on homes and businesses impacted by Hurricane Hellene.
Our goal this year is for 10 students and four adults to travel to Glory Ridge, July 12-18, 2026. This means we'll need an even bigger fundraising push this year to get us there! Our first fundraiser is in partnership with Café Divine to sell Super Bowl briskets and sides. Please consider preordering your food for the big game and support our Youth Service Trips in the process. We will have a table with youth taking preorders on Feb. 1, 9:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. in Sumners Hall. Payment is due at time of pick-up, Feb. 6, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. or Feb. 8, 8:30 a.m.-noon.
