Youth Service Weekends
For the past three years, St. David's youth ministry has offered a summer opportunity to serve our community. This year, there will be a service weekend for middle and high school students here in Austin and a trip for high school students to North Carolina.
Youth Service Weekend 2025: Austin
Friday, June 20-Sunday, June 22
Students in grades 6-12 (from school year 2024-2025) are invited to a weekend retreat. This is our third time doing this weekend retreat at St. David's. This year, we will once again cook dinner with Chef Ray - a fan favorite from last year - and we'll also be helping our Ramp Build ministry on Saturday. I'm so excited about this year's retreat. It is offered at no cost to our students; the cost is covered by our budget, which is supported by all of our generous St. David's pledgers.

Youth Service Trip 2025: North Carolina
Sunday, July 13-Saturday, July 19
Cost: $650-$800 per student (prices and travel dates subject to change depending on flight costs)
The North Carolina service trip is offered to high school youth (from school year 2024-2025). This will be our first out-of-state trip as a youth group since I have been here. We will join Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Greensboro, NC, at the invitation of my predecessor and good friend, Jenny Campbell.
The work will be done at the parishioner-founded Glory Ridge campsite. Our work will largely include building, painting, and cleaning to help the community recover from the damage done by Hurricane Hellene. We will be fundraising to cover the costs of adults and a few scholarships for students who need financial support to attend.
