This past Sunday, the parish gathered for the 2025 Annual Parish Meeting. Children enjoyed a brain break on the 1st floor while youth and adults gathered in Crail Hall.
We thanked and celebrated our retiring vestry members Sandi Boone, Bess Carsner, Gay Gillen, Treasurer Jim Norman, and Senior Warden George Zwicker. Our new vestry members, John Fitzpatrick, Clare Knapp, Melanie Moore, Mity Myhr, and Colby Simpson, were elected along with Diocesan Council Delegates Bill Landon and Joy Harris Philpott.
We heard reports from our vestry officers and were given links to our Annual Parish Report, and we heard plans for the coming year.
Picture frames crafted from the renovated Historic Church floorboards by parishioner Kenneth Lightle were gifted to the more than 30 members of the St. David's community who served on the building committee. Father Chuck also recognized the work of St. David's staff and volunteers. We will continue to celebrate the generosity of our volunteers on Sunday, Feb. 16, after our 4:30 p.m. all-parish Holy Eucharist with a Big Hearts of St. David's Volunteer Appreciation Dinner.
Before closing the meeting, we prayed together for those we had lost in the past year.
