It is our tradition at St. David's to gather as a parish at the end of the summer for an all-parish worship service and meal. During worship, we will have a back-to-school blessing for educators and students. Bring backpacks to be blessed and we also bless the books and backpacks donated by our community this July for local schools.

We will also welcome guests from eight local non-profits that St. David's Grants Committee has selected to receive grants of $10,000 each. We will celebrate the work of the grants committee along with the volunteers and staff of Next-to-New, our consignment and retail shop, which provided the grant funding from shop sales.

After worship, we will gather for lunch in Sumners Hall, featuring croissant sandwiches, fresh fruit, and other special treats. On the playground, there will be a giant inflatable slide for a "Last Splash" party. Our hospitality ministry will provide food on the playground for families, and children are invited to wear swim gear to church! Our youth will gather in the youth room on the first floor to check in and connect after the summer. We hope to see you there!
