Meet St. david's new seminarians

Lara Chase
Lara Chase is entering her second year at the Seminary of the Southwest and has already had the pleasure of worshiping at St. David's for the past year with her husband Daniel. She has enjoyed getting to know many of you over meals, in classes, while serving, or the always fun monthly women's mixer. Lara looks forward to meeting and serving alongside many more of you over the next two years.
Daniel and Lara moved here from Lafayette, Indiana where they are in the Indianapolis Diocese. They live on campus with their grouchy cat, Iskierka. Before pursuing the priesthood, Lara worked as a church administrative assistant, an HR recruiter, and a kindergarten teacher. In her free time Lara enjoys baking, embroidery, puzzles, and listening to audiobooks as she does the aforementioned three.
Chris Bird
Hello everyone! I was born and raised in the heat of the Arizona sun before eventually moving to Omaha, Nebraska for my undergraduate. I studied Theology at Creighton University while participating in the Army ROTC program, where upon graduation, I was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and Chaplain candidate. My hope is to become an Army Chaplain. During my time at St. David's, I will be training one weekend a month in San Antonio.
I enjoy painting Warhammer figures with my fiancée, reading fantasy novels, playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, dressing up and going to Ren Faires, and snuggling up with my two cats Lovey Dovey (Dove) and Ashley J. Williams (Ash).
