Holy Eucharist for the Feast of St. Francis
with Pet Blessings
Wednesday, Oct. 7
6:30 p.m., Labyrinth

Honor St. Francis’s legacy and celebrate the joy pets bring into our lives with a pet blessing.

St. Francis of Assisi (c. 1181-1226) inspired the church with his devotion to the sacraments and his acts of service to the poor. Francis founded an order of monastics that continues in service and devotion to this day.

St. Francis was also known for his care for all of God’s creatures, and several stories report that he sought to foster peace between humans and animals. Honor St. Francis’ legacy and celebrate the joy pets bring into our lives with a pet blessing.

You and your pets are invited to a special Eucharist on the labyrinth to celebrate the feast of St. Francis and the special role companion animals play in our lives and in God's creation.
