Faith and Film: Juneteenth: The Long Road to Freedom

Sunday, June 22
10 a.m. Crail C

On this Sunday, we will recognize Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, in worship at 9 and 11:15 a.m. and with a special breakfast (8:30-11:30 a.m.) in Sumners Hall.

At 10 a.m., all are invited to Crail C to discuss the film "Juneteenth: The Long Road to Freedom." This PBS documentary examines the history of Juneteenth, the current social climate, and the hope that this holiday inspires.

Throughout the summer, watch and discuss Oscar-nominated and award-winning short films. No registration is required for this on-site offering.
