The Rev. Preston Yancey Joins St. David's as DIrector of Adult Formation
Preston Yancey is a priest who loves to wonder why and how. He is married to Hilary, and is dad to Jackson, Junia, and Joanna. The Yanceys moved to Austin in 2025 following God's call for Hilary to also enter the priesthood, and she is currently a student at Seminary of the Southwest.
Preston received his Masters of Letters from the University of St. Andrew’s in Scotland in theology and the arts. Preston's research interests have been focused on historical criticism of the Bible, especially the Torah, the Gospels, the reception of those texts in Second Temple Judaism, and the Judaism of Jesus's recorded ministry. At the same time, he values those pursuits only as much as they continue to shape friendship and partnership with Jesus.
He loves Formula 1, the Real Housewives franchises, and salt.
