Sept. 21: The Refugee Collective: Texas' First Resilient Farm Plan

28Jun

Creation Care at The Refugee Collective

Sunday, Sept. 21
10-11 a.m., Crail C

The Refugee Collective Farm is home to the first Resilient Farm Plan in the state of Texas. This regenerative agriculture practice centers on soil health to draw down carbon from the atmosphere. Once the plan is fully implemented, the farm will sequester 345 metric tons of CO2e annually, the equivalent of taking 77 cars off the road.

Join Co-founder and CEO Meg Erskine and Farm Director Matt Simon, who are excited to share with St. David's how the farm will utilize this promising agricultural approach to enrich the health of refugee communities, as well as our regional ecosystem.
